After beating the game for the 7th time (first on 3DS) yesterday, I can say that I have new appreciation for the Spirit Temple.

When I was younger and played OoT, it always seemed like such a chore to go through the motions of the Gerudo Fortress and Haunted Wasteland to get to the Desert Colossus and I remembered it being a lot more taxing. All of that to get to, what I thought at the time, the least engaging adult dungeon of the game However, on my most recent playthrough, I thoroughly enjoyed all aspects of Gerudo Valley and on. The Spirit Temple now reigns as my second favourite (behind Forest).

It's interesting how time changes the perception of what memories we hold of certain video games.

Has this occurred to anyone here? Remember a certain part of OoT that you despised/disliked/dreaded when you first played it that has now changed to a more pleasant experience? Or vice versa?

When I played it on the N64 I hated playing in the well, it was so boring. But now I find it more fun and I can appreciate all of the detail they put into it.

I still dislike the Spirit Temple. I just don't like the design; it's kind of boring to me.

My opinion has definitely changed on the Water Temple. I actually think it's very well deigned temple with a good challenge. If you know how to properly use Farore's Wind, it's not too hard. The whole temple has kind of labyrinth like feel. Dark Link is a fun boss fight.

Wow, I'm the complete opposite. The entire Western Hyrule segment is far and away my favorite part of OoT and I always save the best for last. I always try to get through the Shadow Temple as fast as possible so I can begin the Spirit Temple quest.

The Spirit Temple is also way better on MQ, in my opinion. Both longer and much more difficult.

I feel the exact same way. I remember as a kid we all hated the water temple and thought it was pretty difficult. That Dark Link boss fight is so fun.

Forest Temple was my favorite when I was younger, but in the last several years the Spirit Temple has become my favorite.

I remember when MQ first came out for the Windwaker pre-order, I got to be so reckless in dungeon exploration just to see what I could get away with. After the initial run, it lost a bit of it's charm since I knew running a bomb across the room or playing basketball with the wall rocks wasn't as efficient as say, using a Bombchu. Still love seeing how many ways I can beat different enemies, like nailing Volvagia with arrows.

But I will always hate Bombchu's. And I gained a great appreciation for Farore's Wind later on.

Shadow Temple was my favorite as a kid, but Forest Temple kinda took that spot and Shadow is my least favorite now >_>. Still love it though.

Spirit Temple has always been my favourite, and I agree with an earlier poster that the MQ version is much better.

I like all of them, even the water temple, which ticks me off.

After the Shadow Temple, it's always been disappointing to me. Never tried it before Shadow because that one is my favorite dungeon, followed by Forest.

I remember my first experience with Ocarina of Time was the Water Temple. I couldn't afford an N64 at the time, and my friend was playing it. Blah blah blah.
I had a ton of fun helping him out with it.
I never got why everyone had trouble with that one key, though. As soon as you open up that pit, the camera pans towards it.
    So, yeah.
Water Temple, then Forest temple, just for the crazy design.
I hate Shadow temple. It and the well are still absolutely boring, playing through on the 3DS, I couldn't even remember who the boss was. I still can't even describe him, other than that he goes down in seconds.
Spirit's okay. It's just the easiest and most tedious adult dungeon in the game.
Fire was the one I always had trouble with for some reason.
