oh wow.. another MMORPG. How many of these are game companies gunna make b4 they realize they could do better? why are you ppl gunna buy this load of crap? I dont get it.. TERA was ok.. but only cuz the combat was better than all the rest (yes I understand LoL has good combat, but its not a true MMORPG if you didnt notice) Even guild war2 is looking worse and worse as the betas go on. I miss commander keen and wolfenstein3d.. Good games are gettin hard to find these days.
Shut the pie hole man, by your message is pretty clear you don't have not even idea about the game, and if you don't know nothing about a game enjoy your right to be silence.
If you don't like MMORPG, you don't have to play it or anything, and there's lots of single and multiplayer games around, so use better you time playing and seeing about then.
@Rkaynjehll TSW have a good story,lores and quests i enjoy it so far, wat killed Tera is the quests story and well there isnt much flexibility in custimization
You're correct. The story and quests in tera were terrible for the most part. But wat im trying to say.. is if the game companies could take the lore/quests from a game like this.. and use the combat from TERA.. with modern day graphics... they'd have the recipe for greatness... yet they decide to put out half ass crap instead. They only care about money. Not quality gaming.
@deathgiving Combat aint tht bad its better than SWTOR combat, plus it have alot of custimization flexibilty i enjoyed the game so far :P i hope it will stay tht way :P
1 Like after beta test 3 im seeing the game run a lot smoother, you can see they have worked on sum animation with added more on the fly combat information, replaced NPC placeholders with unique characters, (in beta test 1 n 2 i did notice a lot of NPC did look the same) gotta say its looking good and less than a week till release
i for one is looking forward to it :)
@shrapnel-grant didnt play the Beta but im playin it atm and wat can i say i love it :D
they had 5 years to prepare the game i love the story concept and dungeons but the graphics is lacking and gameplay feels awkward well thts wat i heard atleast
@hellfire2034 nope graphics are great and combat like any other mmorpg ....but i would enjoy if there combat was like c9 or tera
@deathgiving u r rite :P shld have taken in account tht the stream and bla bla lowers its quality unfortunatly my laptop is old so i cant run the game on max graphics if i did ill have some delays :P
1 Like bad graphics? ... you guys do not know what they are talking, and please do not make comparisons between TSW and other games like WOW I'm sure the final version will be much better, the big problem is that players are not accustomed to this style of game and only talk about WOW OMG! the game is great to just have to modify some things and I'm sure it will be a great game! o /
@Raznilof Game is great after they smooth out everything there is still some bug but its just at launch therer shld be anyways hopefully they will fix it
The animations aren't just weak, they look like some amateur indie game. Graphics aren't everything, but when they miss the mark so badly, it does bring the game way down. I don't know what Funcom was thinking, not catching this issue years ago, when they still had time to hire better animators.
@vihazur Umm this was on close beta so the graphics wont be at its best, but atm the graphics is good and u need a good pc to have max graphics well for animition i didnt seen it at max graphics so i cant say anything abt it

2 Like This game rocks. Keep in mind that the animations you see here is placeholder. Something much closer to final look will come with Closed Beta 0.9 version next weekendish. I have no doubt that they will get that up to snuff by launch (just look to AoC and see how well it's done with same motor).
What I am more happy with though is that the system is so right when it comes to skill progression, crafting and questing/investigation missions... It would be unfixable at this stage if that were not good. I have high hopes.
just take a look at Tera the combat and graphics are great, but the questing and lore is poor, the game gets boring fast,
Tsw is completely the oposite has great questing, graphics, lore and setting but the combat is not!
i know what game i would rather play

@shrapnel-grant true to tht Tera have really boring quests and bad story/lore, questing felt like a chore and well nobody like doing chores :P secret world have great story and good lines frm wat i seen in vids and heard frm ppl i might give it a try ( just want an mmo tht gave me the same feeling as WoW vanilla at tht time it was amazing but hate seeing developers and bla bla assume tht doing mmo is profitable they shld think real carefully)

Games look like shit. Is EA trying to move backward of something. The Witcher 2, Diablo 3, Lineage Eternal on the other hand is gorgeous.

@hellfire2034 TSW has a variety of quests. Not every quest is a go kill this, go fetch meat for my sandwich kind of quest. their are alot of investigation quests. These are where you are given a riddle/puzzle and you have to solve it. The combat, while not amazing, is fine if you ask me. The animations/combat have gotten ALOT better since the first beta weekend.
@the_Great_Fall the story looks amazing in this game for an mmo but im scared of the gameplay
@the_Great_Fall same here wasted money the only thing tht was good i had a good guild with great ppl in the guild it was the only reason tht let me keep on going in Tera but i cant handle another kill 30 mob quests in a small area, TSW looks great just scared of the combat
@hellfire2034 Sorry but i disagree. I would have more fun playing a game with ps1 graphics as long as the story and gameplay were fun over a game that looks like crysis but the gameplay/story is...bleh I feel that if i didn't enjoy the game then it didn't do it's job and i wasted my money.
Had a lot of fun during the first beta weekends. Really looking forward to TSW because it shows some real good ideas and innovations to mmo-rpgs so far. Cant wait till 15th June to test again.
This game has a great combat system the movement is a bit clunky but that can be modified and i hope it does along with a lot of the weapon skill animations some of them are just bad . Instances and pvp has not been unlocked yet during beta but hopefully it turns out good not many modern mmos out and this one has a very nice lore and with some modifying could get a solid following .
@niqpere I fully disagree about the combat system. Its just like Rift/WoW and everything before it. Okay so maybe not having classes and the skills system is new and cool, but actually playing it is just like a traditional MMO. I guess I was hoping for something more

If you dislike something come with arguments,not that has skills on a bar and that is similar to a certain game.Is like playing FPS and whining it has guns and you have to shoot things.
