WOW. This series has lost its emphasis on stealth. But the way Sam now moves around in the environment is probably the best i've seen in recent years.

You people need to stop whining about Michael Ironside. My God! If it doesn't bode well for you than don't bother yourself with this game.

This really isn't much of a stealth game anymore :/. I'd still give it a try though, it does seems to be pretty good as long as you don't play and expect it to be a full stealth game

Michael Ironside was the best voice for Sam Fisher. The new voice and the patriotic speeches aren't his style. And I do not detect his usual dry humour. It's going to fail.

I've been a fan of this franchise since the first game, which I played when I was like 12 years old. The first 3 games were probably the most ground breaking stealth games ever made, and as it has been said in below comments, I feel like they're trying to change the game into something it's not meant to be.Sam Fisher's new voice actor sounds good, but it doesn't fit his image nor character. Sam was a rigid, semi-old guy with a lot of baggage, which was portrayed very well with his old voice actor, imo. Conviction was a fair way of trying to change the game a bit and I was a bit uncertain whether or no it would work, but I did end up liking the new features. One thing I found to be missing, was the more hardcore setting that were in the previous games, where as if I had fucked up one of the side missions, I might have to end up restarting the entire mission to try again. I feel like they've turned Sam into a blood seeking, rampaging ninja with a gun, instead of relying on deep cover stealth action, where Sam obviously is the best in that line of business.

really they have blocked out what the buttons are telling you to do so you cant tell if its being run on xbox, pc or ps3... how fucking stupid

the best stealth agent in a video game is back. they need to remake the first one it was legendary

Fisher is getting old, yet he's so nimble.  Next, he has a baby face and the new voice actor sounds to young.  I like the idea of fluid motion, but this seems like their trying to change the franchise into some kind of blockbuster.  I liked Conviction, but this seems like a far cry from even that.  I understand they need to innovate, but this doesn't feel like Splinter Cell anymore.

@Ishiban If they wanted to take splinter cell into a new direction they didn't have to drag Fisher into it, Conviction was a good ending for him, they should have started this "4th Echelon business" with a new charecter rather than risk butchering a well liked a respected charecter they created.

Bringing back old features like attracting attention seems cool; I don't get the hate that Conviction and Blacklist have received - the stealth aspect is still great, but the action sequences seem like the logical next step for a man who has been hiding in the shadows for the past 8 years (first game was set in 2004), whose daughter was kidnapped, and who has been betrayed by most of his own organization.

Does not feel like Splinter Cell.  But neither did the last game to be fair.  Franchise's been dead for a while now.

I wonder if they will have a section of coop like archer and kestrel. I actually liked that side story

People! With new game demos, they only show what is new to the game! In this case, the stealth is not new, so why bother showing something we know will be in the game?

I agree with most of the comments that Splinter Cell series seem to be losing it`s stealth side . However please do not forget and judge it by only watching this video. As you all know fellow gamers, the producers are mostly tend to show the action proportion of their games in such events which would create a more ``wow`` factor for the audience. I think the game in total would be similar to Conviction in terms of it`s action / stealth proportion.

I hate when the gameplay stops every 30 seconds for some cutscene, even if it's short.

Certainly agree. It takes my focus away, it makes me think i`m watching a movie rather than being an actor myself which is playing a video game ! This cut-scene, action proportion should be adjusted  @Manji14

I'm digging the seamless gameplay and the sheer  wit to the presentation. I just wish it was Michael Ironside's voice that embodied Sam here in this game. Sadly, it's not him.

This game is gonna be great. Not sure why Sam is getting younger tho. Oh well. I love the stealth and action mix. Loved Conviction and this improves upon it.  am going to miss Ironside, however.

So is the whole stealth aspect, which made this game so awesome, now gone? What's with this marked shooting crap....now it has an Assassin's Creed look....wow

hystavito

@crosstown17  What else is new? :)  Slow stealth gameplay is mostly gone nowadays.  What's funny is that most gamers not only want all fast paced action and dramatic kills, they also seem to not want to control their character as everything is scripted sequences and quick time events :).

sandrin

@hystavito Seems to be this new generation of gamers. No patience, no interest in actually having a challenge, and no desire for an actual plot or good story telling. All they want is to shoot things, blow stuff up and make a lot of noise.
