Ahh the Grammy's are coming up, you know that award show that all these popular musicians win an award. To be honest, it doesn't mean **** to me. I can't stand the Grammy's.

I want to talk about the hard rock/metal catagory, and it goes to show you that the Grammy committee doesn't do any bit of research at all.

So for Best Hard Rock/Metal Performance, you have Anthrax, with "I'm Alive", which is on the album Worship music. Awesome album, if you have not heard it, check it out.

The next on the list is a song from Halestorm called "Love Bites (So Do I)". Never heard the song, never was a fan of Halestorm.

This next one really makes me laugh, because either A.) The grammy committee did no research, or B.) they are just stupid.

A live version of "Blood Brothers" Ok, En Vivo! was a live DVD, why not take something that was new? I mean there was an album released from Iron Maiden, it was called
The Final Frontier.

Now before you say, well The Final Frontier is from 2010. Yeah and Anthrax's album Worship Music is from 2011, the Grammy awards are in 2013. Yeah, makes no sense at all. Nice job Grammy committee, choose a song from an album that has been out since 2000, way to do your research.

Then you have Lamb of God, with "Ghost Walking", Marilyn Manson with "No Reflection", and Megadeth with "Who's Life (Is It Anyways?)"

As you can see, this catagory is for mainstream bands, not one band that busts their ass, and plays in small venues are on here. Where is Ghost? Overkill? and other bands? Why not show some appreciation for these bands?

I just don't like how the Grammy committee ****s on metal, and they always have, ever since that year that Jethro Tull won. What a joke that was. Not only that, they never show the hard rock/metal portion of the Grammy's, what a slap in the face.

Hell even the Golden God awards are nothing but pathetic anymore, I mean you get bands like Black Veil Brides on there, that are nothing but worthless posers. Why not show support for the non mainstream metal bands, there are tons, and guess what? A lot of older bands that are still together, are still releasing albums. Tons of them.

Funny thing is, remember when everyone was talking about Anvil? They did that little documentary, they got a bit of limelight, now where are they? You really hear nothing about them anymore, and that's sad, because Anvil is a great band. Hell their 2011 album "Juggernaut Of Justice" was really good, some of my favorite songs from the band are on that album, especially "Fuken Eh" and "Not Afraid", and no, "Not Afraid" is not a cover of that Eminem song.

You may not think it, but it does take talent to play metal music, even the death metal/black metal bands. You may not hear it, but let's see you sing those songs with out destroying your vocal cords.

The Grammy's, Golden Gods, and the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame are nothing but a big joke. Sure some great musicians/bands in hard rock and heavy metal have won these awards, or been inducted into the HoF, but you know what, they still slap the real musicians in the face, especially the Award shows. Don't get me started on the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame either, I can understand where Eddie Trunk is coming from, and his hatred for it, but now I think it's a lost cause, because they have sat their and proved to everyone, what kind of joke they are, and how they don't give a **** about the music.

Especially putting in musicians that don't belong in the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame.

So with that being said, the Grammy's can kiss my ass, and I will not be watching, even if Iron Maiden, Anthrax, Megadeth, and even Lamb of God wins a grammy.
