All About Omega-Protoman
So many people are talking about ME3 right now that you'd almost think other games don't exist. So I'm going to flip the table by bringing up another game almost everyone seems to love to hate, Minecraft.
Ok I admit it. I played a ton of Minecraft last year. This year has been pretty bad for me so I don't play as much as I used to, but recently I played on a friend's server and saw all many cool creations that he and his buds had made. It brought a little fresh air to the game. But even given that, I'm still doing the same basic thing over and over again.
Which is fine I suppose, but why? Why not go play something else?
The reason is fairly simple really, because making stuff in minecraft is fun for me. I find myself firing up my newly created hardcore world and trying to build a new house, while hoping I don't lose everything by accidentally falling off the new tower I'm building. Or finding my way home when I inevitably get lost. And so on and so forth.
But I don't do it because it's original, new, or exciting. I do it because it's fun. People make a big deal about other elements in games, graphics, voice acting, story, and so much more besides. But at the end of the day, we all do what is fun. Frankly, that's the way it should be.
And if you don't believe me, take out a box of legos sometime and build something. It's far from the most original or new activity ever, but damn it all if it ain't fun.
Some recent experiences I've had buying games for my relatively recently obtained PS2 have taught me an important lesson: if you are going to buy a system late, make sure you have a list of the games you want right away. The instant a console starts to get cheap may be a good time to buy it, but there is no guarantee the games you want will still be easy to find.
I never had a PS1, and as such I'm one of the three people who have never played Final Fantasy VII. Course this isn't something I thought should continue so I recently looked into obtaining said game, and of course I know a normal store is not going to have it anymore so I immediately looked on Amazon.com. I found that a used copy of the game actually at its cheapest was about 90$ and "new" (factory sealed?) ones closer 120$. Such an amount is well beyond what I would want to pay at this point, which is just too bad. Goes to show you that if you wait too long the games on other consoles you may want to play could be more expensive than when they were originally out.
My Recent Reviews
Some people just don't have opinions. Like Omega-Protoman.
Omega-Protoman does not have any recent activity. What a slacker! Maybe you should send Omega-Protoman a private message and ask, "Where are you hiding?"
