God of War Origins Collection

I love the God of War series. But I initially passed on the God of War Origins Collection because I didn't think that a PSP-to-PS3 port would work out very well. Thanks to one of my best pals, Max (AzelKosMos), telling me to give it a try, I found out how silly I was for passing on it. Great games. Chains of Olympus and Ghost of Sparta were just as good as the console games. And though they didn't look as great as God of War 3 did, they still looked pretty good for PSP ports. After playing them, I'm pretty excited about getting back to the God of War universe. Good thing Ascension is just around the corner.

If you're into the God of War franchise and passed on Chains of Olympus and Ghost of Sparta because they were on the PSP, now is your chance to play them. I wholeheartedly recommend them.

its interesting you bring up the PSP-PS2 porting issue; the PSP silent hill titles translated decently, as did the God of War titles.  Makes me a little sad more of the PSP rpgs didn't get a PS2 version. (I don't like gaming on hand helds, but theres many hand held exclusive titles that would have interested me otherwise)

@TheKungFool Adam, you are not alone on that. I'm not a big fan of gaming on handhelds either. I've never been comfortable with it. Just feels odd. Having big hands doesn't help. I always feel awkward holding the damn things lol

I thought their stories were better than 1-3. Made Kratos seem like less of a tool :p

I should revisit God of War, haven't played the series since the second one. Maybe I'll pick up the collection with all five games. Only thing I didn't like about them were the QTEs, some boss battles would last longer than they should for me because I suck at hitting one button repeatedly quick.

@Eikichi-Onizuka That's something you should be use to by now Rick. QTEs are something almost every game has these days...for better or for worse.

@SavoyPrime @Eikichi-Onizuka Tap x repeatedly can still be hard for me if the game expects too much. XD But damn, God of War II was six years ago now. I've probably gotten better since then, doesn't seem like it was that long ago. Just thought of that.
