This is a small request. I don't normally do such things because I hate being told what to do regardless of whether the task in question is beneficial to me. Let me say at this point that this task is by no means a chore, you should have completed it several times over by now and if you haven't like yours truly then do so by Friday.

Your task, should you choose to accept it, is to play Portal 2 by this coming Friday because if there's one game the Vox Populi is absolutely perfick for, it's Valve's latest full-length game since Half-Life 2 almost 7 years ago.

Now do not grumble or complain that I weigh you down with unnecessary gaming, because we are serving a higher cause than mere leisure time, I know you obviously don't want to play Portal 2 because who would want to delve back into Valve's extended puzzler filled with Stephen Merchant and Glados-isms. It has been quite a while since the last VP and I know several of you may not have experienced the unadulterated brilliance of a Vox Populi when everyone chips in. On Friday August the 5th I will be sitting in my room with a tub of Ben and Jerry's perched precariously on box of ginger fudge, exercise regime forgotten ready for any one of you to send me a PM on either GS or PSN saying: "adam1808 my good chap (GS)/Deadlife47 you handsome Qwark avatar you (PSN) how about a protracted romp through the Aperture facility?" "Can I be Pea-body?" "I need trophy/steam achievements can you help me out?" All these and more will be answered with the affirmative because I will do not intend to sleep within the 24 hours of getting my hands on what I'm sure will replace Ratchet and Clank A Crack in Time as my favourite game of this generation.

I'll be getting the PS3 version so I get my free PC copy along with a USB headset so you will be able to hear my hybrid Australian/English accent with scratchy clarity. Together we shall formulate opinions for the VP questions that one of you lucky lucky people will help me devise as we test for science. I'll be on all day, and by all day I mean time zones will not be an issue, I'm pulling an all nighter on this one. A Vox and a review relies on a great co-op experience.

As of Monday I will be away in dark and jungley surroundings trying desperately not to kill my administrator with a laminated and sharpened course outline and the thought of returning here to enjoy some science with one of you fortunate individuals who gets in with a PSN name and time will see me through this dark patch.
