Animal Crossing New Leaf Launch Event
I would have bought The Last of Us (PS3) a few days ago but however didn't have much change to get it and plus spent some of my money already on a few Events and Conventions during the summer including NERG (North East Retro Gaming) and ONECon. I did pre-order Animal Crossing (3DS) a while back at a good price of Ł26 thanks to ShopTo, it did arrive last Thursday afternoon along with my copy of Air Gear Volume 28-

When I started playing it I was going to call my town LaytonVillie but however the letters were too long to call it, so instead I've named my town Inaba from Persona 4 (PS2/Vita) and even had the Persona 4 logo as my town flag and the Junes theme as my town theme music too ^^

I have been playing it more than 8 hours already over the past few days now and even played online with a few of my friends which can be very addictive and turned my character into Professor Layton with an eye patch-

On the Saturday there was an Animal Crossing Launch Event on Newcastle where a load of 3DS users would meet up and play multiplayer games or having a laugh, I was at an Anime meet as well during the day and yes we were talking about Animal Crossing, when I got StreetPassed at least a good 60 odd people were playing it on that day-

I didn't take any photos but however found a few online-

There was a good 70 people who turned up at the event and there were a few tournaments going on including Bug Off and Biggest Fish competitions if you had Animal Crossing on you and plus they had a Mario Kart Wii tournament on the fastest time and a Super Smash Brothers tournament too. I did get some free stuff too from doing the Mario Kart Time Trail and a free Animal Crossing poster most of the stuff was from GAME but yey on free stuff-

It lasted for a good couple and everyone including myself had a great time, I do hope there will be more events like this in the future but did hear that they might do another one sometime in October when Pokémon X and Y is released around that time.

E3 2013 Part 3- Nintendo
If you've missed my last two E3 blogs you can find them here- E3 2013 Part 1- Microsoft and E3 2013 Part 2- Sony this my final E3 blog which is based on Nintendo. We know that it wasn't going to be doing a press conference this year at E3 but instead they did their own E3 Direct Presentation live on various sites from Nintendo and of course you can easily watch this again on your 3DS or Wii U.
Nintendo didn't really talked much about their hardware or sales but it was all about the games and there have been a few odd surprises along the line-up. There was more information on Pokémon X and Y for the 3DS including a new feature where you can feed and pet your own Pokémon, ok yes this idea has been done before which was in Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop (3DS) where you can feed and play games with your Dream Eaters.
Yet another Super Mario game was announced called Super Mario 3D World for the Wii U where you can play up to 1-4 players with Mario, Luigi, Peach and Toad. A new costume was showed where you are dressed as a cat and can climb up walls. It does look impressive for a 3D Mario game you could say that it could have been Super Mario Galaxy 3 if Nintendo considered it.
Some new info and gameplay was shown for Bayonetta 2 and Platinum Games had some more info on their next title The Wonderful 101 which will be released for the Wii U. Speaking of Nintendo there was some more information and gameplay for the HD version of Legend of Zelda Wind Waker. Mario Kart 8 was announced including another Donkey Kong game where this time Donkey is facing Vikings.
The Nintendo Wii had three RPG games released around 2011 and 2012 which were Xenoblade Chronicles, Last Story and Pandora's Tower. This new title known as X is the next RPG game to be released for the Wii U, made by the same team that made Xenoblade Chronicles it does look really impressive to look which has a mix of a fantasy world with mech-robots added in, there wasn't anything else much mentioned on the game or a release date, but there should be more info on it in the later future.
Nintendo saved the best for last on a new Super Smash Brothers for both Wii U and 3DS including some new characters being mentioned including Wii Fit Trainer, Animal Crossing player and of course Mega Man which most gamers have been wanting for a very long time, even hearing the opening Mega Man II theme brought back memories for gamers and fans.
After watching the E3 Special on Nintendo Direct did Nintendo pull the right move on not doing a press conference at E3 this year? Did any of the games catch your attention? Well to be honest I think it could have been a little better if they had a few more games being mentioned for both 3DS and Wii U. Even if they didn't wow the audience like Sony did they would still have a good show if they had a press conference, maybe at next years E3 they may have some good surprises up their sleeves.
Hope you've enjoyed reading all 3 blogs based on E3 2013, what have been your favourite moments?

E3 2013 Part 2- Sony
If you've missed my last blog you can find it here- E3 2013 Part 1- Microsoft this is part 2 of my E3 blog based on the Sony Press Conference. I did stay up around 2 am when it came to watching this live on my laptop even Sackboy was looking forward to the show, he took my PS Vita to pass the time-

As the show started to kick off there some new games being released for both the PS Vita and Playstation 3 including The Last of Us got mentioned as well saying that's been given great reviews around the world and is being release worldwide. A new trailer was shown for Beyond from the same team that made Heavy Rain and it does look pretty amazing almost could be done in to a film if it happened. Now we get to the main part of the show from Sony-
The console for the Playstation 4 which looks a little smaller than the Xbox One but it does look pretty impressive to look at for a new console since were in the 8th generation of gaming as we speak. More games were being announced for the Playstation 4 including some new indie game titles and some new trailers for some games like Killzone, Knack and inFamous. Some new gameplay footage of Batman Arkham Origins, a big surprise popped up when Tetsuya Nomura appeared on screen to announce that new Final Fantasy game which Square Enix had mentioned back in February which actually turns out to be Final Fantasy Versus XIII including trailer and gameplay-
I was very impressed in what I saw for gameplay for the next Final Fantasy game and how much effort Nomura has putten into this title, I have waited since 2006 for this game was the reason why I bought a PS3 in the first place. But at the end of that trailer it turns out it is now called Final Fantasy XV instead of Versus XIII and is being released for the PS4 instead, I was a little disappointed that it wasn't going to be on PS3 anymore and waited quite a while for this. But however after watching both the trailer and gameplay footage I can easily say thats probably for the best for an RPG game that has been in development for a very long time. However Nomura had one little surprise up his sleeves and no one was not specting this at all, as soon as they showed some gameplay footage of the past Kingdom Hearts games this comes up-
I was very shocked and surprised when I saw this which was Kingdom Hearts III, which most hard-core fans including myself have waited a very long time for the next chapter in the Kingdom Hearts series. You see Sora picking up Master Eraqus Keyblade and then we see the Kingdom Hearts logo and then just after a small glimpse of gameplay where Sora is getting chased by a swarm of Heartless in Twilight Town and jumping across a wall and then making an attack on the Heartless, then it ends from there saying currently in development.
Bungie came in soon after showing off the first gameplay of Destiny which will also be released on other platforms too apart from the Playstation; it does look very impressive to look at from the makers that made the Halo series. There was even some new information and gameplay for Elder Scrolls Online which will be released very soon across multiple platforms. After hearing some brilliant announcements on the latest games, we come back to more information on the Playstation 4 announcing a price tag for Ł349 in UK pounds and $399 in the US. The best moment of E3 was when Sony had been listening to their fans mentioning that used games will be playable and you can play your games offline-
The crowd were going nuts when this was announcing meaning that Sony has done the right if they want to make the Playstation 4 a big success including their launch date which will be sometime during the Holiday Season, they even left an instruction video after the conference ended- http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kWSIFh8ICaA And already there have been multiple jokes and memes based on this meaning that Sony has pretty much won the audience attention at E3 this year.
So with the Sony conference comes to an end what will the next step for them? Will they have more information at Tokyo Game Show in a few months? Will you be pre-ordering a Playstation 4 on release?
Be sure to check out my next blog which will be based on Nintendo
