  LOL moments

  I just took a look at the 'Most Popular' section at the bottom of GameSpot's home page. I realised something funny. Dead Space 2 on the PS3 has got a 9.0 rating where as the same game on the Xbox 360 got a 8.5. Not to mention the PS3 version is an 'Editor's Choice' game but the 360 one is not... Weird? Or is there a solid explanation behind this? I thought it was the same game but on different platforms? Or is there a genuine and noticeable difference between them?

  Another funny thing is Killzone 3 is only an 8.5 rated game (it's not the Editor's Choice either). Does that mean this game is actually not as good as Killzone 2? I think GameSpot has got to start reviewing some of it's scores for games. Include some perspective in their final scores maybe?

  Kinect

  After watching the Microsoft Press Conference at E3 I find it hard to believe that all games can benefit from Kinect. Can you imagine Rock Band 3 benefitting from this? Especially the 'Pro' mode which sees gamers play their real instruments. And if Kinect doesn't work with controllers, you will literally be playing air guitar! Pun intended.

  So obviously, Kinect has lost the interest of gamers deeply invested in the rhythm game genre.

  e3 2010

  E3 is coming up again guys, and its high time I shared my thoughts on this year's lineup. Its hard to believe that a year has gone by already though, feels like just yesterday it was E3 2009. However, this year I am particularly excited about Gears of War 3 and Call of Duty: Black Ops. The reasons are obvious aren't they? I am also excited to see what Project Natal has to offer the gaming industry. Of course I still don't know the price of this highly hyped about piece of equipment, but that's what makes it all the more exciting, the promise of some affordable next generation hardware for the Xbox 360.

  However, with that said, I am not too excited about the Playstation Move, or whatever its called. The whole wand with a glowing bulb concept turns me off and is definitely deterring me from purchasing this Playstation 3 update. Project Natal however, is far more interactive although not many conclusions can be drawn at this point seeing as how information about this hardware updates is scarse.
