Heya,

sorry if I missed your blogs. My university exams finally got over on the 28th of January. Last exam was Mathematics and I nearly killed myself studying the entire night. Collapsed at 3:30 AM in the morning and woke up at 7 and killed myself some more till I felt that I was done. Coffee and a lot of prayer helped me get through.

Exam was good. The questions that I studied was asked so it was a major relief. I don't know about the others though; some left the hall after a hour and a half :\

All my exams were better than I expected. I must admit, I wasn't consistently studying. It was more of a last minute effort where I had to put myself on the line and clock. Seriously, I think this will be the last time I ever do study last minute. I don't think I can do it anymore. It's not like I've done this for the first time; I've been doing this for a long time but the vastness of the college syllabus was too much. I barely scraped through. I'll be getting a lot of A grades though

Anyways, I had the 29th off so I spent it mainly sleeping. Sadly, 30th was the start of my second semester :\

I finished DmC : Devil May Cry today after 8 hours 15 minutes (according to the in-game statistic) on the Devil Hunter difficulty. Game was decent. Graphics were sumptuous. One liners made me chuckle and there was one awkward scene with Mundus screwing Lilith that my sister saw. I was like, "AWKWARD" and my sister just left the room.

lol

Anyways, I'll be a bit busy this month; I still have my practical exams to study for.

Good job on the exams and glad the game wasn't a total disaster.

@NeonNinja Thanks :)

 The game is pretty good. Even though the story is predictable, the game has heart. And I kinda warmed up to the dubstep tunes by Noisia and Combichrist's, "Never Surrender". Music is brilliantly done despite my initial doubts.

glad to hear you made the exams. studying is the right thing to do. dmc5 is a waste of time. I am just too disappointed. as a long time gamer, to me dmc5 totally sucked.

@Shinobi-Neo It's not as good as DMC 3 in terms of story or kick ass bosses. But it's a decent effort nonetheless, for a Western reboot.

Capcom will be continuing both their DMC series and Ninja Theory's DmC series. They're aiming to release new games for both series every 2.5 years from now on.

Dude. Engineering is about last-minute studies. Be proud of doing what any natural engineer should do. :D

Might get DmC when it's cheaper. Waiting for Revengeance is what I'm doing.

@lightwarrior179 Most folks here in Kerala don't think BSc. Computer Science = B.Tech Computer Science; even though we do have the same syllabus :(

After my recent last minute studying experience, I think I'll pass for next sem. I don't think I have the life in me to pull out more all nighters :P

I'm waiting for MGR:R to come out for the PC. DmC on Ultra settings gave me 120 FPS on my rig! Just imagine how MGR would run! :o

Besides, the PC version will be a LOT cheaper than a PS3/360 one so this is me hoping PG makes a PC version.

I was never good at math...wow, you finished DMC already?  is that good or bad I wonder...

@pokecharm It's good. Sometimes I go all out crazy and focus on games that I want to see completed.

Maths is easy. Just don't save it for last minute or it'll test your sanity :P

I played the whole demo for DmC and liked what I played of it. The humor in that game seems very over-the-top but as a fan of action games I definitely want to give this game a shot.

@XereoWarrior It's a good game. You can like switch from 10 weapons (this is including both angel and demon chains) on the fly. I had a harder time understanding the combat system than any of the previous DMC games. There was also the parrying/evading moves that I barely grazed in terms of mastery.

Some of the enemies put up a lot of challenge and require you to change your tactics and focus on timing. I only died once for a boss fight (I was trying to find out how to kill the boss) though. Maybe it's from my experience with similar games in the genre?

I honestly don't know why most people are complaining. There's a difficulty mode called Hell and Hell where enemies have very high health and aggressive AI. The catch is you die in one hit. Fun stuff.

Voice acting is top notch. It's of really high quality, I kid you not.

as long as you don't let university interfere with your gaming too much :o

or is it supposed to be the other way around?

maths was my bane throughout school also but I'm sure you can manage and it sounds like you are doing well.

keep up the good work and you know we support you.

@iowastate Thanks Jim :)

I honestly thought I'd fail Maths this time around. Luckily I had the previous year question papers so I was able to figure a pattern as to what to study and what not to. Partial differentiation, Euler's extension and some other sections were omitted so I didn't bother with those. I also noticed some questions that kept appearing so I made sure I studied those. Because of this I was able to manage. Still was scary though.

 >Mundus screwing Lilith that my sister saw.

Everytime a remotely naughty scene is on, that's when everybody comes in. I learned my lesson, and locked the doors when I played GoW3......

And congrats! I don't think I could ever do that whole, 'Wait untl the last second' stuff.

@ShadowofSonicThat's what I normally do but my sister has a habit of knocking on the door room and asking, "Why are you locking your room?" :\

Don't want her to think I'm doing something "else" (I'm not) so I left the door open. It was funny. There was no actual nudity or anything in the scene so it's all okay.

But God of War 3, damn, was it the Aphrodite scene?
