Sniper Ghost Warrior
Sniper Ghost Warrior has one of the richest jungle graphics you can expect from the recent Crysis Warhead, though you might not have the Crysis battlesuit on you.
Well, the storyline of the game is pretty much expected; a mission gone wrong. They pamper you at the start with a helping hand but after which you're really much on your own in the jungle.
For weapons wise, there isn't much variety; a simple silenced sniper rifle, a James Bond pistol, grenades and many more (no spoilers). One of the most innovative interactive feature of this game is the guy-rope equipment in inventory key 6. It is not some button which you press and the rope just flies you to that spot as seen in Tomb Raider Underworld. You really feel like some robber trying to get to higher grounds and you can really find yourself shimmering and adjusting yourself to whatever places you like. Nevertheless, it still requires some skills on using it; somehow I have not mastered it. My rope tricks are flawed apparently, death comes with that as well! There's not much gore accompanying this game

I must say they really made the sniping much more challenging. You think this is like another Counter-Strike Source sniping rifle AWP? Guess what, this game takes sniping to an advanced level. Well, you have to take into an account of the wind direction, wind speed and the distance. The tutorial was hard enough and it displayed how difficult it was to shoot 500 meters away. Oh yes, one more important feature is the heartbeat monitor on the top right hand corner of the screen. Firing your weapon or moving around too much will cause your heartbeat to hit 130-140, causing you to have a bad shot!
Well, the difficulty game wise; easy, medium and hard. With hard, the Artificial Intelligence (AI) of this game still feels very predictable in the sense, there's no much smartness in the enemy, well compared to say...Call of Duty? No match!
For Graphics wise, this game really requires a big punch! With my 8800GT and Core2, I managed to work it around medium settings. I would say the graphics was really quite demanding that even the cinematic was lagging up really badly. Nevertheless, for those who managed to work Call of Duty World At Wars with my computer specifications, this game shouldn't be much of a tick. Medium or high graphics, you won't see much difference.. so far.
I would rate this game as 7.5/10! This game really takes sniping to another level; compared to other sniping games such as Sniper Elite and Sniper Art of Victory. The jungle is really a jungle so much that when you're embedded in the tall grass, you just feel so small. Worst, when enemies are engaging you in the tall grass and you have no clear shot, what do you do?
PS; aim a headshot, enjoy the cut-scene of the bullet soaring through the air to the target - from the movie; Wanted.

The Scourge Project
Dude, i just tried out the Scourge Project. The graphics for Unreal 3.0 engine is really awesome. The gameplay was really bad, guns were shallow and just not the kind of FPS which keeps you hooked for long. I completed level 1 and chucked it. Probably give it a rating of 3, for the good voice up and graphics, other than that, I'll stick to Crysis or Call of Duty for now.

Mimana Iyar Chronicles (PSP, 2010)
I'm not a big fan of PSP games but, ever since i picked up this chronicles game, i've been hooked onto my PSP for hours until it is fully drained out of battery! It is by far one of the best short-lived RPG ever played this year. I believe Lunar will be equally interesting, but its gonna be very long-winded.
M. I Chronicles, has a mixed genre of gameplay; consisting of free-roam RPG, tactical gaming as well as simple hack and slash entertainment. What i love most about it, is that every battle has a different strategy. For an example, if i'm fighting a group of 5 enemies, i'll probably take more magical precautious, followed by a hack slash attempt.
The game is veyr hilarious, especially with Cais, and his hate kids theory. Though it gets a little annoying with his constant repeats of I HATE KIDS, the character build up is rather interesting. Stumbling upon new party members, especially those bathing in the woods!
The maps are not that big and rather straightforward, takes a little patience to reach the destinations. Some bosses are relatively straightforward, while others require a simple common sense. Destroying a Cluster bomb means stupidity! What i love about this game is that, it doesnt get the players lost. And even if you do, you can still get back on track easily with the help functions. I've played several RPG in which i totally got myself lost in transition; with too many quests, too many NPCs to talk to. This game is different.
The magic combinations are wonderful and vibrant. Dark magic's my personal favorite! And if you find yourself getting 1-Hit KO from an enemy, it's probably part of the storyline anyway

!!! SPOILER !!! Now i'm 35, going to get some healing stone for the cute young red healing girl. I've read after the 7th gem, its probably near the ending. I'm still feeling rather hyped about my characters and how they are piecing together but apparently, it's almost the end! How depressing!
Anyway, give this game a tryout, totally worth it. This is my first entry on Gamespot blogging, feeling rather newbie at this!
