Expectations for E3
Hello, people who read my blog. How are you doing? E3 is tomorrow!
I'm really excited as usual, because E3 has always been my favorite 4 days of the year.
This time will be the best one in years, because we'll finally see how game will look on the new consoles. Of course I'm a PC gamer and I don't really care about consoles, but them having ancient hardware has limited what the developers can do with games in general for a long time. And not just graphically, but also in how big levels are, and things like that. So it'll be really great to see how this new hardware is gonna change things. And also since they're using an x86 architecture, it's gonna be much easier to port games this time around.
So first of all, the Xbox One. Sure, we all had a good time making fun of Microsoft and their disastrous reveal of the new Xbox, the ridiculous DRM, and how they focused on TV and not games.. But do you really think that in E3 they'll just continue talking about sports and not games?
What If they showed like.. fantastic, amazing exclusives during their conference. Will that be enough to make gamers ignore or forget that whole DRM and used games deal? It'll be really interesting to see what happens there.
Enough console talk and let's get to the important part.. the games! I'm really looking forward to see more of The Witcher 3, Watch_Dogs, and Batman Arkham Origins. And speaking of that last one, I'm kind of worried about the fact that Rocksteady is not the one developing it.. But we'll just have to wait and see.
We all know some of the games being shown there, but what will be really exciting is the announcements!
What I really want to see getting announced is Rollercoaster Tycoon 4, Mirror's Edge 2, a new Monkey Island game, Just Cause 3, and maybe a new NOLF game? That would be really cool. There's probably a lot more, but those are all I can remember at the moment.
If you've posted here on the forums during E3 before, you know it gets really slow and glitchy. (yes, more than usual.
) And 2 years ago the forum went down during one of the conferences for like half an hour. This time though, it's already breaking down. Since yesterday, I've seen thread pages suddenly becoming empty, and posts disappearing. And with how heavy the traffic will get on the site starting tomorrow, it'll probably get even worse. I know the technical staff is busy with the E3 stuff right now, but hopefully they can do something about this.
Anyways. There's now about 20 hours until the first conference. Will you be watching live? And what game are you looking forward to seeing the most?

Remember Speedy Eggbert?
So I'm not sure what really made remember this, but do any of you remember that Speedy Eggbert game? It was a side-scroller platforming that came out back in 1998, where you control a yellow egg-like creature. I really loved that game back then, and I remember spending a lot of time with the level editor!
The thing is, whenever I mention this game to anyone, they never know it even exists.
So I'm wondering if anyone here played it before.. -

7 years on Gamespot!
Hello everyone!
I've been really busy with various stuff recently, that I completely forgot about my 7th anniversary here.. Which was two months ago.
(I just checked, and it seems I always post anniversary blogs a month or two late.
)
Wow.. 7 years! This is really a lot of time spent here.. And even though the quality of the forums keeps going down, and most of the people I know here left or rarely post, this place still feels like my internet home.
