Every time I see a blog from you I get extremely jealous lol. So much stuff and all of it usually looks like things I'd like or buy. O_O
So it's been a while and seeing how it's Spring break for me, I finally have the time to do a new blog post. I received alot of stuff from Amiami so let's get started~
Shin Sangoku Musou 7(Dynasty Warriors 8)
As some of you guys might have known, I'm a big fan of the series. I couldn't wait for the next installment so I skipped over DW7 Empires and decided to get this...I have no regrets . Anyways, I actually got the "Treasure Box" edition of the game so let's see what it comes with:
First off, it coms with a soundtrack CD and an LED light display:
It looks alot more impressive in person, but I have a pretty bad camera so oh well...anyways it alternates between 4 different colors representing each of the kingdoms.
Next there is the artbook, and I'll just show you my top 3 fave characters sections, it's pretty massive too:
I've enjoyed my time with the game when I had a chance to do so, but as much as I enjoy the new changes, I'm not exactly how I feel about many of the officers not being launchable without an EX skill or Musou attack, but I'll see later when I spend more time with it. So far I beat Shu's story mode(my fave kingdom), and gotten part of the way through another.
I haven't started this yet, but decided to get the Valentine's edition as it was pretty cheap(around $40), and heard it was a decent game. Anyways, this is what it comes with:
The DVD apparently comes with some behind the scenes footage, desktop gadgets, wallpapers, cinematics, free dlc, and the instruction booklet for the game has its own exclusive comic book which is pretty cool.
Senran Kagura: Shinovi Versus
This is probably the game I spent the most time with so far and I even got so into it that I got the platinum trophy is less than 3 days since I opened up the game. This is probably partly due to the fact that during Spring break, I left my PS3 back at my dorm in college, but nonetheless it's amazing. The game is kind of like an ecchi Dynasty Warriors which is why it appealed to me so strongly at first, coupled with the fact that I already knew some of the characters from the currently airing anime. Anyways, this is what comes with my Nyunyu DX Pack edition that I got:
The first thing I got were pre-order bonuses that included an artbook with Yumi on the cover(she was apparently voted everyone's most favorite character on their website's poll), and a non-descript Vita pouch(there is also a zipper on the other side for Vita games). Also I will show off Ikaruga's page as she is tied for first as my fave character in the game:
Afterwards, inside the box I received a soundtrack CD compilation
And lastly, a set of figures with detachable parts so you have to assemble them yourself. They include the 5 girls of the Hanzo Academy
If you're curious this is what the game actually looks like in action(this is the first stage in the game):
There are also special techniques called "ninpo" which are accompanied by a small skippable cutscene, these are some pics from that:
And lastly here are some pics of the convo after a mission, my maxed out OP Asuka(for those curious about her costume, yes those are customizable), and what home base looks like(differs slightly per school)
Moe Moe Daisensou Gendaiban++
I just started this game, but I'm getting utterly destroyed in it since I tried to rush without learning the controls which is pretty bad. Anyways, it seems kind of fun but it will probably always remain as a secondary side game for me. It's basically a turn-based strategy war game where you control girls who represent warplanes in the modern day.
I got a premium edition of it because it was also pretty cheap(for the Vita), and it came with drama CDs and mini posters:
Well, that's it for now. As always feel free to comment
@megamannt123 I know, it looks so cool that I can't stop looking at it sometimes...I wish we got these treasure editions outside of Japan, but the artbook feels like the coolest part. It's hardcover and huge in size
Only thing that caught my attention from this is DWVIII , ah man just gotta get WOIII and DWVII , when will it hit U.S shelves ???
@OrNiGhTZ they haven't announced DW8 for the US yet. The only clue is a twitter response which hints at it which is a reply to another comment below
Nice games there~ :3
A shame I'll probably never play them, or only play them in 2020+ at the very least, when dragon flowers will have covered the world... >_>
@phoenixangel9 Hopefully you'll be able to play them one day...and dragon flowers around the world sounds kind of cool :)
I do like that DW7 Empires Limted Edition the LED light display you got with it looks really cool :) I am still decide weather to get the limted edition or just get the normal edition of Senran Kagura Congrats on platinum the game
@Dam505 Oh that was DW8, and you should definitely get the limited edition of Senran Kagura since the figures are kind of cute, and I'm looking forwards to what you have to say about the game
@Eikichi-Onizuka I've heard that so often, I might get it eventually during the summer because of everything said about it thus far.
Wow, I hope I'll be able to get the limited edition of Senran Kagura Shinovi Versus when I go to Japan...I watched a lot of gameplay videos, and it looks like I'll enjoy it! :D
@AznEvan hopefully you will, I heard it got a 93% sell through rate in its first week so best of luck. It's definitely tons of fun and it will be worth hunting down while you're there
@AznEvan @josephl64 I'm talking about how the limited edition had 100% and the regular edition had 93%...it was insane. Project Diva f is another amazing vita game which I'm also getting on PS3 in this month's package which will probably arrive during the first week in April. I'm curious about Sword Art Online's game so tell me how it is, and I'm sure Valkyria Chronicles 3 is superb :)
I'm really looking forward for DW8, I can't believe you've plat'd senran kagura already =P nice other pick ups lie always
@Hanzoadam I'm kind of ashamed how addicted I got to it...I maxed out so many characters in all three arts if you would call them that? At level 50 too...anyways, DW8 is great :)
Those are some pretty naughty pictures featured with the game, but then again it's fan service, so it's to be expected with the game, right? :P
@macrules_640 yeah that Vita pouch surprised me lol. There is slight fan service in the game, with some attacks, some clothe tearing can happen and of course they have a Sailor Moon esque transformation sequence to boot, but it's pretty fun either way :)
I've been watching the Senran Kagura anime and I thought it was kind of...meh. But the game actually looks a lot more enjoyable. I like the whole "ninja girls who transform to activate their powers" thing. Kind of reminds me of Neptunia. If it ever gets a western release I'd probably give it a go.
@Lucky_Krystal The anime isn't quite up to par, but with ep. 10 it feels like it will get there if there ever is a second season. At the very least you do get a feel for their personalities and what they're like
ah so thats how Senran Kagura looks like in the gameplay i been interested in the game i havent watched the anime though but its on my to watch list. but it looks great . and Moe Moe Daisensou is in my import list looks unique. both limited editions look spectacular i hope you enjoy it all dude and have fun and enjoy your spring break! :)
Has there been an announcement about DW8 coming to NA? I really want to play it but also understand it lol
@Joshua2222 Not an official one, but this pretty much confirms it https://twitter.com/RichardEpcar/status/311215186096820224
