  Casual Games.

  So as you all know Microsoft is going to spend $500,000,00.00 on kinect advertisement over an unspecified expanse of time. At first I figured that if a company wants to sell something like this they would have to be putting out tons of AAA titles to make back that Half Bill. But then I looked at the launch roaster, Horrible, all the games are Casual to an extreme. The games seem to be targeted towards an age group that don't even play games, or least have the $150 to buy a kinect. So I was thinking, "how would petting a virtual tiger compel someone to buy $150 hardware", do people even buy casual games? I look at my collection and the most casual title I own is Fable II. From what I hear movie->game interpretations sell like crap. And the games that sell the best aren't casual, like Halo and Gears of War. I was just wondering where the appeal is, but i guess I don't really care.
