2 Like It's not fair that PC origin games are coming on consoles and console origin games never come on PC.Only the first Gears Of War came on Pc the rest were Xbox360 exclusive.The same happened with Halo.
This whole year was horrible for me.Thank God the last three months are indeed wonderful.
.... why is this taking soooo long to come out! I'm already planning my vacation leave around it. and go ape crazy playing it on both my PS3 and PC.. :)
This sucks! I just found out that this game wont be out untill the 12. in my country. I was really looking forward to playing this the 9.
@Sprock26 I dont know if the game will be out in my part of the world... I'm from SE Asia and I'm very much looking forward to getting this game, been pestering my favorite game store if there are pre-orders for it, but they don't seem to have it.. :(
just a lot of NBA2k13 and I plan to skip that but I was already being asked if I want to pre-order ACIII, but that comes out end of October... I really do hope this game becomes available in my area of the world on the 9th or the 12th doesn't matter, I'll be getting it for PS3 and PC :D
Pre-ordered on steam. You know you get Civ 5 with that? That's like adding hundreds of game hours on top of your hundreds of game hours. Also comes with a side option of fries :P
Anyone know if like Civilization - the campaign game will have different length options? You know - like for those of us who are real turn-based masochists (right word?) and would prefer not to sleep for 5 days - will there be an "epic" mode?

CLASSIC IRONMAN! or maybe two words! lol....you'll agonize at every decision you make, with aliens geared up to their eyeballs against ur paltry human soldiers... now "that's XCOM baby".. (dont mind me, been watching a lot of JS videos... I just cant wait to get my hands on this game!)
@jamenta8 There are both gameplay type and difficulty settings.
Iron man mode with impossible difficulty can easly satisfy you.
I geeked out so bad at how they did the undergound base. It looks like it's inspired by the diagram of the Pit in the old GI Joe comics.
The bitter irony is that with games such as this with SOMETHING to offer often get my most bitter comments, possibly because they show that they are not idiots, can make games, and still chronically fail to deliver something breakthrough...
1 Like People can watch gameplay trailers online, they just needed to make this look awesome, which it did.
3 Like The trailer is misleading, it doesn't show that the game is a turn based strategy game, but instead a third person shooter. It's a shame that the only way that even a strategy game can be marketed is by being shown to be fast paced and like some Bay movie.
Thankfully those of us who have been following the game for a while know that it's a turn based strategy game. Looking very forward to playing it in over a week's time, since it isn't out here in the UK until the 12th.
@Smokescreened84 Look at Blizzard's trailers. They always show the cinematics that are way over the top compared to the in-game presentation. I don't think people are as easily fooled by such trailers and usually know what they are getting before they make a purchase.
@ZOD777 Sometimes. It helps to research though so that you do know exactly what you're getting. Many have a habit of not researching, especially those who only ever play the usual military FPS/TPS games and ignore everything else.

Also at the end there looks like we get psionic stat back so that's nice. I wonder if there is gonna be the mind probe and psi amp again?

@Trinitarian @Simplythebest12 Which is still a really good score. The other day on Gamespot Gameplay Tom McShea mentioned that he absolutely loved Alan Wake. He "only" gave it an 8.5. 8's are very good games over here at GS.
